DEREK S. GRAHAM, PRINCIPAL

Derek Graham, a 35 year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, is the President and founder of Odyssey Properties Group, Inc., (“Odyssey Properties”), a private real estate investment group, who seeks to acquire or invest in income producing properties (multifamily, senior housing, and commercial) nationwide. Odyssey Properties strives to provide its investors with stable cash flow plus long term capital appreciation.

Prior to founding Odyssey Properties Group, Inc., Mr. Graham was an Executive Managing Director at Studley (18 years), a national commercial real estate brokerage firm, where he led the national mid-market real estate investment brokerage effort. Prior to joining Studley, Mr. Graham was a Senior Vice President at CBRE (16 years) and Insignia ESG (3 years).

Mr. Graham is a 1985 graduate of Princeton University.

KAREN S. BAYLESS, ASSET MANAGER / INVESTOR RELATIONS

Karen S. Bayless is VP of Asset Management and Investor Relations for Odyssey Properties Group, Inc.  Ms. Bayless oversees investor relations and asset management for both new acquisitions and the existing portfolio. Prior to joining Odyssey, Ms. Bayless was a Client Services Specialist at Savills, Inc. for 17 years.  She also worked for two sectors of the U.S. Federal Government – the Department of Commerce and the Department of Health and Human Services.

Ms. Bayless received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Business Administration from George Mason University.

DANIEL DIAZ, ACQUISITIONS, WEST COAST

Daniel Diaz focuses on acquisitions in Seattle, Reno, California, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix and Austin.  Daniel has extensive experience performing due diligence, financial analysis, and managing broker relationships in key markets.

Prior to joining L5 Odyssey,  Mr. Diaz headed multifamily acquisitions for StarPoint Properties, a $1 billion privately-held real estate investment company in Beverly Hills, CA. During his time at StarPoint, Daniel was involved in over $500 million in real estate transactions.

Mr. Diaz received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University, where he double majored in Business Management and Economics.

RENEE LUCKHARDT, ASSET MANAGER

Renee Luckhardt is responsible for the monthly asset management reporting process, which includes financial analysis, real estate due diligence on the competitors/submarkets, budgets and renovation tracking. She has over 24 years of experience in the commercial real estate and residential property industry. She spent the last 10 years provide accounting and asset management services for a large privately held multi-family fund.

Ms. Luckhardt holds a BBA from Eastern Michigan University in Accounting Information Systems.

ERICA YOUNG, ACQUISITIONS,  MIDWEST, EAST AND SOUTHEAST

Erica Young focuses on acquisitions, financial analysis, due diligence and managing broker/seller relationships. She has a strong background in real estate investment/analysis.

Ms Young’s analysis and due diligence skills have allowed her the opportunity to impact numerous advisory and investment firms with property evaluation and underwriting procedures.

Throughout her career, she has performed with excellence in a number of fields, making a positive impact on operations, sales, expense reduction, human resources, profit and loss, product placement and overall financial performance.

Ms. Young an AA in Business Administration from Kirkwood Community College and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Business Management, a minor in Ethics and a certificate in International Business

BRIAN DEMPSEY, ACQUISITIONS FLORIDA / INVESTOR RELATIONS

Brian’s roles with Odyssey are twofold:  1) He heads the acquisition of value add multifamily properties in Florida (specifically, in Tampa/St. Pete, Jacksonville, Sarasota, Orlando, and various South Florida submarkets) for which he sources new acquisition opportunities, provides underwriting / financial analysis, and assists with all transactional aspects of purchases including due diligence and financing;  and 2) Brian leads the L.A. office’s  investor relations marketing initiatives on behalf of Odyssey.

Since 2014, Brian has been in the multifamily industry working as a multifamily broker in the private client segment (assets in the $2M to $20M range), during which time he’s specialized in representing clients in the acquisition, sale and 1031 exchanges of multifamily properties in Los Angeles.

Brian holds an BS in Finance from University of Colorado, Leeds School of Business (2014).
